This was expensive candle and I was hesitant to buy it but Susan convinced me and she was right. This is the prefect apple scent and very crisp and clean smelling. I was so sad when I came to the end of the candle but the glass is just so beautiful that I still use it everyday.
Perfection in a beautiful jar!!

I very very rarely take the time out of my busy schedule to write a review, however this candle warrants my time and your attention. I am an avid scentaholic while still maintaining a desire for sophisticated, rich scents. This one jar manages to feel my entire living room, dining room and kitchen with a crisp juicy scent. My. Husband came home after about an hour of me initially lighting the candle and was impressed by the quality and depth of the scent circulating our home. Scent is a key to making memories, uplifting moods and really setting the tone for an evening - this LAFCO candle excels in every category. The apple scent is rich and supple and in no way reminiscent of a cheap drugstore version. I was skeptical about the hefty price tag but as my candle has burned perfectly using every last but of wax and making fall bloom inside my house as well - I find myself feeling my money was well spent. I was afraid the apple scent would not prove "fall" enough and am happy to admit I was proven wrong. Instead of buying 4 or 5 lesser versions splurge in this candle and you will be thankful you did!! Fall is in the air here in Knoxville and as my friends and family continue to visit my home I am flooded with compliments at the comfort my home provides. Life, love, politics, children, careers - there can be ups and downs in every day we live. I know it seems a little dramatic to talk about a candle in this way but when you walk into your home with the weight of your world On your shoulders and you find warmth and comfort there - the price tag is worth it!

I have to be quite honest...I don't like apple based fragrances. I normally loath them which is quite odd since I am a devoted apple-eater and love them with all my heart as a snack. However, as a scent...they have never appealed to me. It's strange how that works out. But, when my aunt purchased Cortland Apple I was instantly impressed with the quality of the throw. The apple in this isn't one dimensional. It doesn't remind of the typical apple based candles I have smelled (rarely purchased!) in the past. It has layers of depth that made it work in a special way for me. The combination of two varieties of apple was brilliant. I also love the little whiffs of green walnut that come through. I didn't quite catch the dewy leaves in this but I think the fresh apple is so potent that it just covers that up a bit for me. This would make a perfect scent for any apple lover. It worked for me and I am the anti-apple scent guy. I normally wrinkle my nose in disgust at them but this was different for me. Very wonderfully blended.
Like an Apple Orchard!

This fragrance is fresh and crisp like a perfectly tart and juicy apple. I like that they kept the scent simple and didn't add spices to turn it into apple pie or anything gourmand. Instead the created the pure essence of the fruit in a glorious candle. It's very fragrant without being overwhelming. The brilliant red glass is stunning as the candle burns. Fragrance intensity 4/5. Burn quality 4/5.
