When buying scented candles we often want to cover up the staleness of the environment; provoke a feel good memory or to invoke a certain mood. In this case I was going to take a chance, so I got the votive, when I pulled out of the shipping box I could not smell a thing. So this morning I set it on my kitchen table; the room is about 600 sq f. ran off to do some things in the rest of the house in about 20 min. I would get a whiff of something, so an hour later I went back into the kitchen and was blown away at the fragrance. Not too sweet or earthy, but pleasant. I was shocked that that candle had so much odor. It not only filled my kitchen but the bedroom as well. It would be a great gift for both sexes. I would recommend this or this brand for anyone.

I love Trapp candles, and this is my favorite. For someone who loves the spicier scents, I go for the sweeter smells it seems only with Trapp. This is a sweet candle, rich and unique. Like the description says, it is luscious! I guess it is the deep richness of Trapp scents that I go for, and they really do throw beautifully...I always smell them throughout my house when I burn them. Fig gives off a sugar-coated sugar plum scent but in a sophisticated manner...like hot breezes on a Greek island.

I have loved this fragrance for years. Both men and women comment on how nice my home smells when I burn this fragrance (Mediterranean Fig) Not too "girly" and not too overpowering. I found it originally in a great shop in a little Missouri town. The shop is now gone and I couldn't find a supplier in Washington so have been hoarding my meager supply until I had a "duh" moment and searched on line. Hooray, there you were!!!!! My next dinner party will be even better now.
