a sweet but very balanced tropical scent

Based on the description alone, I wouldn't have bought this online. First, I figured it would be heavy on the floral side (not me), and second, I'm typically not into fruity scents either. Lychee is not something I am "familiar" enough with to relate to anyway (it reminds me a little of pineapple). I smelled it in a local shop, though, and I liked it. This is a distinctly tropical scent that is very balanced: sweet but not overly fruity, it is certainly not a strong floral scent either.
I often buy Trapp votives for use under a stained-glass hurricane because they are high quality: a very strong throw, filling multiple rooms, which is pretty impressive for a votive. They also burn for, I'd estimate, about 20 hours, cleanly and evenly. I seldom burn the Trapp votives alone, and this one worked really, really, well with Archipelago's Fiji. It added some complexity to it, which I think it needs!
