A Bold Fragrance from Voluspa

This scent is my new addiction. It's not at all what I was expecting. It's not citrus or juicy. It's more of an earthy/spicy mix. Customers that love orange blossom really go for this but it isn't that floral either. It's a unique mix of neroli and patchouli but not distinctly either. The fragrances blend so well that it becomes a scent of its own. I love this candle when I'm in the mood for something like nothing else. I like the way the Voluspa Seasons 5oz candles burn. I also like the size and price and the color of the wax. This one's a winner if you like unusual. Scent intensity 3/5.

I adore Voluspa candles. I can't rave enough about them. I am a firm believer that for every scent, there are hordes of people that will love and adore it. Not every scent is going to work for everyone. That said, Dahlia Orange Bloom didn't work out for me. I got this in a 5 oz. glass jar (the one pictured) a while ago and thought I would love it. I am a huge orange/citrus scent fan and I thought that the patchouli would add an interesting element, and it does, I can't deny that, but I think for me, the patchouli overwhelms the citrus notes and really weighs this fragrance down. It feels very heavy and almost vaporous to me. I never enjoyed burning this candle because I didn't enjoy the throw it gave off. I wound up passing this candle on to my mom who burned it in her bathroom. She was also not a big fan of it. She said it reminded her of something from her hippy days in the 70's. I can't DISS Voluspa on the fragrance though because I do know that a ton of people will love this fragrance. I just find it too heavy and cloying to the senses. It wasn't a keeper for me.
