Traci's Wedding

The inspiration for this fragrance was Traci's own wedding (Traci Arnsten is the Voluspa Creative Director and Co-founder). I think it risky any time you blend floral with vanilla/sweet notes. It's either genius or noxious. I'm not a huge tuberose fan, and for that reason, this fragrance isn't for me personally. Customers love this scent, though! Love it. I recently tried Voluspa's new Tuberosa di Notte fragrance and was pleasantly surprised how much I enjoyed it (given that tuberose isn't for me). It's a great scent. It layers really well with the Jonathan Adler Sugar candle - which made me think - if you burned Tuberosa di Notte, Jonathan Adler Sugar and Voluspa French Bourbon Vanille at the same time - you'd have an even better version of this Fleurs de Fete fragrance! All winners.

I absolutely love this candle. I received as a gift and I am going to order another for myself and also get some as gifts. I think the fragrance is amazing!
Voluspa Fleurs De Fete

I was very surprised at the negative reviews as it's my very favorite candle! The Venetian in Vegas spent a small fortune developing a scent for their hotel and casino. Fleurs de Fete is as close as it comes. I find it light and airy. I've given so many as gifts and it never fails that I'm asked where I purchased as they want to get a personal supply with extras to use as gifts.
Agree with Caitlin...

I have to agree with Caitlin on her assesment of Fleurs De Fete. This reminds me a lot of an old ladies perfume. It's far too cloying and heavy for me. There isn't anything light or pretty about it. In fact, I always find myself sniffing this at the local boutique that sells Voluspa near me and I always HOPE it's going to smell different but it doesn't. It always smells like Old lady. Granny went wild with the perfume at the nursing home! That is what this smells like to me! Not cool. One of the most dissapointing Voluspa scents I have experienced. Sad.
Not a Fresh Floral
Caitlin (Ontario, CA) 11/11/2010 12:56 PM
Fleurs de Fete unfortunately was a huge disappointment for me =( I was hoping the Calla Lily and narcissus would come out with the buttery accent, but unfortunately all I got from this blend was rose overload! It reminded me of a grandmother's perfume, it wasn't a fresh and light rose, but an overbearing powdery rose. It's a beautiful tin and I was hoping to get more of an abundance of crisp, clean white floral from it. I would still recommend it if you love rose scents, but it just didn't do it for me.
