The Vintage candle is part of the James Boyce Collection by Voluspa. Vintage is a delicate blend of brut champagne, almonds and oak. The James Boyce fragrances were inspired by fresh locally grown produce, herbs and spices. Vintage is a champagne fragrance designed to pair with food as you would a champagne, chardonnay or a sancerre. All of the James Boyce candles are hand poured with organic apricot wax pioneered by Voluspa.
The James Boyce Collection by Voluspa won "Best in Show" in Extracts at the NY International Gift Fair in January 2009.

Imagine sipping champagne in the barrel room of a fine winery. Heaven! Dave thinks Voluspa captured the champagne fragrance better than anyone with this blend. This candle is packaged in an attractive wooden box with wax seal similar to a wine cask.

I was a bit hesitant to try out the James Boyce collection at first, simply because I have yet to find a successful blend when it comes to wine/champagne based fragrances. I was pleasantly surprised with this candle. Although I personally feel as if it captures the essence of a sweet dessert wine (not so much champagne), it is elegantly blended and truly does smell like a fine vintage wine. The oak and almond are perfect counterparts. And let's not forget, the packaging is outstanding. The candle comes in a tiny little wooden box with a lid that slides out just like a wine box, it's so creative and gorgeous—this really is the perfect gift for the wine connoisseur in your life. I am anxious to try out the other James Boyce fragrances.
