Voluspa Basic Black Votive Gift Set

This was one of my first introductions to Voluspa. I was gifted this by a coworker years ago and fell head over heels in love with the brand. I was fascinated by the throw that these candles gave off and how high quality they were as far as burning went. The scents are all alluring and gorgeous. My gift set included the scents: Crisp Champagne, Aqua Deluxe, Genoa Lemon Basil, Yashioka Gardenia, Sake Lemon Flower, Pink Magnolia, Vanilla Creme Fleur, Cardamon Fig, Fleur de Cocoa, Red Flower Incense, Italian Tangelo and Vervaine Olive Leaf. All of which have now pretty much been discontinued. Crisp Champagne has moved over to the Noir line along with Vervaine Olive Leaf but everything else has become pretty much extinct in the world of candles. I miss Red Amber Incense the most and still pray every night that they will reintroduce the scent in one of the future lines they create. It was one of the most intense fragrances and I feel like it was one of the few "masculine" and "deep" scents that they offer. I wish they would pop that bad boy back out! I miss it! This is a great gift set to get while you still can! It won't be around much longer. It's an amazing value and the scents are extinct. Experience them while you can!!! :)

I bought this set for myself two Christmas' ago, and I still have half a box left. I agree with Caitlin wholeheartedly. They all smell so great, how can you choose? After sitting in my cupboard for almost two years, the Vintage Tobbaco Vanille smelled as sweet as if it were just opened! I think this set is a great value, and I can't wait to purchase the new Maison Noir,Blanc and Rogue gift sets for myself and family! Perfect Christmas gift!

I mean really, when it comes to Voluspa, how can you pick just one? With this gift set, you don't have to! This set is overwhelming and will completely floor any candle lover. This is so bad, but I actually received this gift on the same birthday that my fiancé proposed to me, and I think I squealed just as much for the Voluspa candle set as I did for my diamond engagement ring :) The one drawback about this set is if you are indecisive and love Voluspa as much as I do, you might find yourself in a stare-down with this box for hours trying to make a selection as to which candle you feel like burning. I also find myself hoarding the very last tiny bit of candle when I get to the bottom of each votive because I just don't want my wonderful collection to run out. These are pretty silly drawbacks, but they can propose serious problems for the candle-obsessed :)
