The Best Lemon Scent!
Sue (Annapolis, MD) 7/11/2014 7:31 AM
About a year after we opened our store, one of the original founders for Votivo stopped in to visit. He told me about how there's nothing like Sumatra Lemongrass to make the house smell fresh and clean, no matter what had been going on before. So I had to try it to see if it was all he talked it up to be. Sure enough, the first time I tried it I was hooked. The cold throw doesn't excite me wildly, but burning, it creates the most pure lemon fragrances. It's not overly grassy or earthy, like a lot of lemongrass candles. It's more bright and clean without smelling like cleaning solution. I absolutely adore it, and sure enough, now it's my go-to candle when I want the house to smell fresh. There's nothing like it! Burn quality 4/5. Fragrance intensity 4.5/5.

Citronella???
Ryan (Cleveland,Ohio) 10/12/2010 2:44 PM
The fragrance of Sumatra Lemongrass is intense and powerful. It smells just like a fresh cut lime or lemon and is, at first, very fresh and clean smelling. The only problem I had with this one was that after burning it a few times when I first got it, I swear it smelled like Citronella! My family members even said it did!!! I was a bit confused by it. It gradually smelled more and more like an outdoor, bug repelling candle strong in Citronella. Hmmmmmm. Strange!
